I like pajamas. I like almost anything Indian.
But I HATE sex trafficking.
It goes against the very nature of who Jesus is, and is shameful, brutal, and horrifying.
Punjammies and the International Princess Project receive women who have been rescued from brothels and provide them with holistic care. Their physical and emotional needs are met, and in time, they are taught to sew. Punjammies, Punjab pajamas, are the result of such efforts. Every pair of Punjammies is made by a woman who has been rescued from a literal nightmare and is gradually being restored and re-clothed with hope and dignity.
As a delighted owner of a pair of Punjammies capris, allow me attest to their cuteness, comfy-ness, and the satisfaction that comes from wearing clothes, not made in bulk production for profits, but handmade by women who are embarking on new lives.
I encourage you to check out Punjammies and the International Princess Project….before you head to Walmart, or Victoria’s Secret, or wherever you go to buy pajamas, stop and consider if you’d be willing to shop an alternative that gives new life to women rescued from sex trafficking!
